situation:

* version: "DOSBox PSP version 07-06-08"

* CFW: 3.93 (but i think every CFW > 3.52 is affected)

* TARGUS keyboard (works with the latest versions of AFKIM and PSPWRITER)

questions:

* as far as i understand psp-dosbox with IR keyboard support needs at least the following files:
/psp/game/dosbox/
- eboot.pbp (psp-dosbox executable)
- dosbox.conf (dosbox config, not IR keyboard related)
- pspirkeyb.ini (IR keyboard related config of the library, psp-dosbox is using)
- keymap/
-- targus.ini (several keymapping configs)
-- ...

* as far as i understand IR keyboard support in psp-dosbox has nothing to do with the pikey plugin. pikey files are not needed to be installed and an installed/activated pikey may/will even eventually interfere psp-dosbox IR-keyboard usage.

* whats the name of the IR-keyboard library psp-dosbox is using?

* is it true that sony removed IR-support with FW releases > 3.52?

* i had to install the latest versions of AFKIM and PSPWRITER because the old versions initially also didn't work with my TARGUS UNIVERSAL WIRELESS keyboard. (BTW. pikey-0.4-prelease with the IRDA patch still doesn't work for me). I don't know what was necessary to get IR-keyboards working in the latest versions of the previously mentioned apps, but can IR-keyboard support for psp-dosbox also be fixed for affected CFWs?

greetings,
christian

In firmwares 3.70+, IRDA.PRX isn't loaded in 'Game' mode.

You have to load the driver first! Look into ZX81's applications.

Look at PSPIR.c in his IRDA applications and you'll fiind the code there!

Have fun!
