I think I have read this before, but im just making sure. In order to obtain a memory dump from the ps2 while any software is running, wouldnt you have to have something on the ps2's end to do it? Say I had a computer program such as xlink. Well, in order to obtain a dump, I would have to have something running on the ps2's end to understand the commands and dump the memory right? Im pretty sure thats a yes but im just double checking. Thanks for any answers.

if you have ps2link running a ps2link client with the memory dump functions included should do the trick. if you are thinking about dumping from a running game, you are on your own.
