A few months ago, I dropped my PSP in a puddle of water, and it stopped working. I assumed it had shorted out, and so I bought a new one. Recently, I decided to try the Pandora battery on the broken one, and was amazed to find it worked! I was able to flash it no problem. However, the darn thing still won't turn on with a normal battery or power connected. It just dimly flashes the orange charging light. Any idea what parts I need to replace? I'm a poor SOB, so less is more. Perhaps I could simply remove the charging circutry? I just want to use this as a back up console for wifi gaming with friends.

You probably need to replace the battery charging circuitry (stuff around IC6001) as well as the power switch.

It won't be too long before some modders break theirs and there are parts available on eBay.
It's def a keeper.
Lookout for a complete PCB daughter board, assuming it's still a multiple
PCB layout inside the slim.
