I need help on getting a conenction on this setup. I have the ehternet adapter and the HDD, I burned pukklink on a cd-r, and it booted fine. It says ready after my net config. I also set the IP's in inlink. the IP's are right because the inlink program loads it just says disconnected in the bottom corner. I cant find a way to connect. In my IPCONFIG file for pukklink i set my ps2 ip first, than the 255.255.255.0 thing, then my pc ip.
Am I doing anything wrong? :(

last parameter in ipconfig.dat is gateway, but it should not matter aslong as you only want to connect locally.

can you ping the ps2's ip ?
if not then your pc ans ps2 is not on the same logical network, something you need to fix, either change ip for ps2, or add an ip from the the same network the ps2 is sitting at on your pc.

So I should put this in my IPCONFIG file?

[comp ip] [255.255.255.0] [gateway ip]

then in inlink i leave the ps2 and pc ip's the way they already are?

You put the PS2's ip into the IPCONFIG file.

For example, my IPCONFIG file is:

192.168.100.10 255.255.255.0 192.168.100.1

And my pc is set as 192.168.100.11. Since they're both on the same subnet (their IP addresses are similar) they can talk to each other.

My pukklink CD does not give me a ready after it shows the IP config.

I have tested the conection of the PS2 - PC by pinging and it responds well.

What could be wrong with my setup?
