I've recently downloaded the released OE src code just to have some fun messing around with it. I'm not planning on doing anything worth mentioning with it, but I do want to be able to change the version info just for kicks and such. I've scanned through every file in the 3.10 src and the 3.40 src, and can't seem to find anything that will change the version info, and so obviously I'm looking for the wrong thing. The only things I've checked are normal text and hex, and neither produced any results. So I was wondering if someone could push me in the right direction toward figuring out how to do this. I don't care to know any specifics, just the general direction I need to study in to figure out how this would be done. Any help is appreciated :)
