Is it possible to make a homebrew game for the PS2 that will run on all versions of the system?
Making a game of any type is a challenge and takes effort even if you know you hardware inside and out.I would like to think that if I put in the effort to develop something for the PS2 that anyone would be able to pop it into their PS2 and have it run...not just on modified systems.
I just want to make something that will run on any PS2,chances are atleast to start off it will be 2D...couldnt I as a last resort develop something for the playstation and still get it to run on a PS2 because of backwards compatibility, sure I wont be using the full power of the PS2 since it will be acting as a playstation but atleast I could complete my little dream of seeing something I made run on a any PS2.
Thank and take care |

i read something on here about getting ps2 format cd's burned before, but it looked quite expensive, the only other issues is switching between PAL and NTSC, and widescreen/normal, theres a good example of how to do this in the tutorials on the main page.
but no u need playstation format cd's to play in unmodified consoles |
