Hi,

There are some really great experts here so I hope I can get an answer for a question I have about a weird problem I'm experiencing with a psp fitted with a firmware replacement chip.

I'm have the following guestion/problem.

The psp always boots from original flash..here's the weird thing: I cut the trace (If I'm correct it's the CE line of the NAND) this should alow selection of either original or u.p. chip however it only boots original flash.

I decided to remove the install and leave CE open. The weird thing is the psp still boots fine? with the trace cut (yes 100% sure it's cut) How is this possible? I think this is givin me the problem I have. Any suggestion to fix this problem. Someone already suggested the following:

"I suspect it might have something to do with the fact that when the trace is cut it leaves CE in High-Z which may still allow the NAND chip to operate."

Thanks&greetz

We are not a mod chip help forum. Go ask the people you just gave $100 to for help.
