|
|
I downloaded Ps2link 1.24 and burned it to cd but I cant seem to get it to boot on my ps2 ( I get a red screen). I tried burning the image provided in easy cd creator, nero and k3b but it still will not boot. I also tried making my own cd with the files provided in the zip and edited the SYSTEM.CNF file so that it didnt have any spaces. Another thing I tried was changing the lba of SYSTEM.CNF to 12231 however I was still not able to get it to boot. Any ideas? btw, I have modchip so i dont see why this isnt working.

The iso I made works fine on messiah(2) machines ( since thats what I have ) and I use cdrecord (unix prog) to burn them all you need to remember is xa mode 2, and burn in slow speed(I usually use 2x) since some medias isnt loved by ps2. its already padded and system.cnf is on the critical ( for some ) lba address. _________________ Kung VU |

I tried using k3b before which uses cdrecord, but havent had any luck yet. It may have been the burn speed becuase my laptop recorder drive does not go slower than 4x! I have also tried 2 different brands of cdr. My modchip is a magic 3.1 btw. I will try using my external drive to burn at 1x and see how that goes.
[UPDATE]
I got it to work! It must have been my cdburner on my laptop. I ended up burning at 4x on my external toshiba drive with k3b, mode2. Thanks for all the help! |
