Hello all,

While working on an input plugin for Project 64 an idea occurred to me. As we (probably) all know, Deadalus for PSP is not currently at a point where it is very much usable... And so, I thought, why not create a video plugin for Project 64 that sends display lists, textures etc. to the PSP for it to render? An input and sound plugin could then also be created and thus an N64 ~*emulator* for PSP would be born! Essentially all the processing would be done on the PC side.

I'm not sure of the feasibility of this, but it definitely sounds a lot more plausible then trying to get a VNC like solution working at a playable speed. A lot less work goes on the PC as well which means it could probably still be used while someone is playing on the PSP and PRJ64 could be made to run in the task tray or what not.

I'm probably going to be conducting a few experiments in the coming days, but before I start I'd like to get some feedback from people who know what they're talking about. My 3D experience is VERY limited and such I have no idea how much bandwidth it would take. Also, I imagine there could be some problems that I'm not thinking of now...

Let me know what you think!

I don't think your idea is plausable, as it restricts users to a small area and pretty much takes away everyones freedom of using the PSP as a "portable" device.
