You cannot use the PSP in the same way as a PDA. When in ad-hoc mode (that's to say, the mode where no wireless router or access point is needed) the PSP can only communicate with other PSPs. If you wish to use your PSP on the Internet you will need to get either a wireless access point to connect to your existing wired network, or a wireless router to replace your current wired router, and then set your PSP up in infrastructure mode. _________________ Dan Jackson |

Access points plug into your existing wired network, so if you already have a network set up then yes, these are the right things to be looking at. Of the two that you have linked, the second one (the Netgear one) is better since it supports the faster "g" standard as well as "b". It's not necessary to buy wireless gear all from the same manufacturer, so it should work fine with the PSP and with the 3com USB adaptor you already bought. _________________ Dan Jackson |

Thank u for quick post
I think u'r right its would be better if both g and b because i've got other 2nd PC upstair bedroom that would be ideal for spare other any Brand USB with 54Mbps on my main PC use network that will guide to Internet or share files transfer,
and use with PSP with 802.11b to itself backward by Wireless Router
good thinking
thanks for info again its was really helpful

| Actually if you have that usb wireless to your computer you can put PSP in adhoc and I THINK you can get online. You can play your non-online games that support adhoc that way with a program called Xlink Kai. I dont know if that was what you wanted to do tho... |

Thanks for reply post
i would like to access by MSN or Webpage from using on PSP WiFi
i dont bother with access to game online but im far more interesting with msn or webpage from psp that is all i need to....
i've try everything adhoc and Infrastructure its wont work cos its Link Quality show 0% and Signal Strength show 7% from 3Com Software show up too low signal i think its need work with Wireless Access Point cos everytime the psp display popup said cannot find detect access point
that's why i think need aim to from main control wireless access point this can pick up by psp. |
