Any free/not used power source in the PS2 ?

Hello,

I want to do some modifications for my PS2 like putting LEDs and fans, but is there any free,not used or a safely power source that don`t damage or change the PS2`s or it`s power and speed and don`t crash ? And how many volts it is ?

And it is safely to put Arctic Silver 5 on the CPU and on the GPU to increse the performance by decresing the tempure ?
