Hi. Well, let me make a little introduce. I am dospro, i considere myself a very good C programmer, i have programmed por windows, linux, and dreamcast, and well, i tried something on the ps2. My languaje is Spanish but i make my best effort to write in english.

Well, as i've said i'm new to the psp in general. I have gotten one some months ago, but i have had few time to really use it. Now that i have a little bit more time i would like to know my psp a little bit more. Actually i would like to make some development for it.

Can someone give some introduction to the psp, technically speaking?

By the way, i havent figured out how to watch an mp4 in the psp.... any help for this to please.

PD: I almost forgot. I kinda know some about firmwares, actually my psp was 2.5 and i downgraded it to 1.5 to play some emulators.

Welcome :)

As for development information, you will find most stuff here, for example how to setup your development environment for psp (stickies).
For more basic development questions, and tutorials, you should try out www.psp-programming.com
Here is a sticky with all the important tutorials: http://www.psp-programming.com/dev-forum/viewtopic.php?t=760
If you are developing on 1.5, also check out PSPLink. It eases development on psp thousandfolds.

For general technical information about the PSP, read the ps2dev wiki and try out the "Yet Another PSP Documentation" from hitmen: http://hitmen.c02.at/files/yapspd/psp_doc/index.html#idx4.1

Hope you find your way. Good luck.

How did you convert your mp4?
If its a psp compatible mp4 put it in x:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01
and name it M4V00001.MP4

if its an avc encoded mp4 then x:\MP_ROOT\101ANV01
and name it MAQ00001.MP4

Have fun
if youre one 1.5 you can always try if it works with pspmediaplayerMT or pspvlc

hope it help and have fun coding on psp :)
