PS2 Homebrew + Mac = ?

As you may have guessed from the title, I am interested in running homebrew on my PS2(slim). I have done some research, and it seems that the best way to do this is using the network adaptor. My problem is that I am running Mac OS X. So now I have two questions:

1 - Is there any way anyone has heard of to connect with a mac? If so, how is it done?

2 - I have heard that you can burn to a CD. I have a flip-top and swapmagic discs, I just need to learn how to properly burn files to a CD.
