You can download the new japanese 2.0 firmware update .... and it will apply fine to the US version as well. I just moved it to the memory stick and installed it the same way i did the last one.
Just put it in /PSP/GAME/UPDATE
(all caps are important)

| How would this relate in any way to a bunch of people that could have told you that before it came out and who are not going to update for obvious reasons |

While still personally interested in the direction homebrew could go on the PSP, and some of the technical aspects... I missed the boat and hit 1.51 on my PSP literally 3-4 days before 1.5 was hacked. :P
Plus the 2.0 wallpaper feature is pretty wicked. It will scale and crop images for you based on how you are currently viewing an image. :) |
