hi, I am new to the psp-programming world, and I got an very important question: is it possible , to run a DOS-shell ore some stuff like that on my psp, without installing win 95 on it? I want a shell which can handle .exe datas(like cmd) , that I could use for example netcat. Are there somewhere out good turtorials for that theme"psp w-lan programming"?
I have a little experience in C++ and Assembler. I would be very happy if anyone could give me some answer :D _________________ blubb^^ |

| Your question was a but absurd, but maybe you just expressed yourself poorly. Bochs (a PC emulation) is available for the PSP, so you can run DOS, a DOS shell, or Windows 95 on it if you'd like. It won't help in programming the PSP, but you can still do it. While running this PC emulator, it will run most exe's or cmd files compatible with the DOS you're running inside the emulation. Again, it will have nothing to do with the PSP as the PSP knows nothing of PC programs... it's a PSP, not a PC. |

oh ok, now I understand , :)
the point was, I wanted to controll other machines with the psp,
for example I got an Robot and I wanted to give him commands
per psp with such a shell, so that he break at a specially point in
the programm, waiting on a special packet from the psp and than
continue his work, sorry yes I expressed this one a little bit false,
but than, I think this is the wrong area for this one here and it should
be in another place, but anyway thanks J.F ;) _________________ blubb^^ |

There are a few projects here that are similar to what you describe - for example, using the PSP as a PC gamepad. I suggest you take some time and look through old threads for people doing stuff similar to what you describe.
There's a control at the bottom of each forum that says "Display topics from previous" - be sure to set it to "all topics" so that you can see all the threads. Sometimes, people leave it at the default (most forums use 1 month) and don't realize there are many more threads than what they see. |
