that leads me to belive thers a way to do it with ps2 cards. i found this http://www.modchipman.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=78 but i think it will be much more fun to build my self. :D

The item you pointed to is a cable - the memory card adapter itself is seperate and is not trivial to build. I doubt there is any public information to build a PS2 memcard adapter. You'll find that PS2 memcards are different enough from PS1 memcards where adapters that could handle the PS1 cards will not handle the PS2 cards.

IMO, you're better off just buying an exsiting PS2 memory card adapter.

You can't put BADATA-SYSTEM on a PS1 memory card because the exploit only works with PS2 memory cards.

You could copy a save from a PS1 memcard to a PS2 memcard, sure, but there's no way to copy BADATA-SYSTEM from a PS1 memcard to a PS2 memcard using the browser. You would have to write a custom program to do it.

I'll plea for specs on the PS2 mem card as well. I do know that on the PS1, the controllers and mem cards shared the same bus with the exception of a few control lines to select a specific device. Is the same true of the PS2? If so, then maybe I can throw a logic analizer into the mix assuming I can find the stuff to to make a breakout to move the card externally to where I can get a probe on it. But that is no guarentee I'll understand everything right off. If anyone has blazed a trial befor me, I'd appricate it.
As for the commercial solutions, so far I haven't seen anything that lets me have complete control and access to the raw data. Furthermore, I'm pretty sure I can build a memory card for quite a bit less that $25-30. (8 meg NAND flash ICs are pretty cheap)

As for the difficulty, I have a piece of paper that says I'm crazy enough to try. :)
