I need some help please. I use Hdloader and managed to get my save files from ps2 to pc. But apparently you need Action Replay or something like that to edit the save file with PS2sidc. Any ideas of how i can do it? Is it do able? If not would someone accept me to email them the files and convert them for me so i can play my 30hr save.

Thanks in advance.

Assuming that you already have a way of transferring saves between PC and PS2 (like you claim), then the only extra tool you need is PS2SaveBuilder.

What you need to do is to change two names, one being that of the main gamesave file (not the one you tranferred, but another one inside it), and the other being the name of the containing gamesave folder. In PS2SaveBuilder that folder name will be shown as "Root/ID", while the file to be renamed will be shown in a list below it, together with some other files. You can't mistake which it is, as it has exactly the same name as the "Root/ID".

For a US version of the game both those names begin with the string "BASLUS-20963" as that is an ID for saves of this game release. For both names you need to change those 12 characters (no more) to match the corresponding ID of the european release, which is "BESLES-54354". Make sure not to modify any other characters in the names, but only those twelve, and then save the edited gamesave. Finally transfer it back to the PS2 and hope that the game will accept it.

If both transfers and editing have been performed correctly, then the gamesave will be accepted. I've done it myself, so that's certain, but if you used some unsuitable method for the transfer between PC and PS2 then the results are dubious. You'll just have to try it and see.
