Hello,

-is possible to do something on the slim ps2 without a mod chip?
-if not, can somebody send me a source of an mod chip (I dont want to buy it, because of my principles :P)
-I want to develop a GUI for a multimedia platform
-where can I find some info. about the protection of DVD-s on the ps2 platform(just for educational purpose).

If you are talking about dvd+/-r(w), not here. You can't burn data to a dvd and read it on an unmodified PS2. I warn you that further discussion of copyright protections on PS2 will result in swift bans.
