| Thats right the US PSP firmware has been updated. the new version is now 1.52. Dont update unless you have a umd music disk. |

ahh, I see
I have a Jap 1.0 and I just kinda assumed they released it for both regions simultaneously. |

| sometimes they do, but not always. i just havent seen it in any news articals. btw i found out you can now update via umd. kinda interesting. |

| More of you HAVE TO update to use certain umd's. This is why i have two psps... expensive yes... but worth it :D |

It's been out for atleast two weeks as the untouched eboot.pbp on my desktop is dated about that old. |

not only do you HAVE to update for movies, but upcoming games WILL NOT run unless you update. so when gta lcs, and socom fireteambravo are released, i will HAVE to update. :'( o well. its worth it definatly. id rather those games over emulators and what not. the only thing i will miss is that backgrounds that i can put of my own.
