Hey has anyone gotten a virus that pretends its a video file or music file and then loads into something else probably. So thats what im thinking of for psp.....

Since psp ver 1.50/1.51 needs an encrpiption to run games then why no try to run it through psp music or video well becouse an other type of file put into the folders will not show up.

So why not make a .PBP that discized as a .mp3 or .mp4 file that may work but im not a computer hacker so i wouldent know but its worth a try

I have an even better idea!

Why are people homeless? I've heard that you can use a hammer to build a house. I'm not a carpenter, but why hasn't anyone tried it? Its worth a try...

Ive altered MP3 files and the PSP doesnt like it..

Only thing I can think of would be something simular to how the sampler UMD
works, which has been talked about b4..

From what Ive tried it seems as if the files header contains anything but what
is able to run in those areas, the PSP renders it corrupt..

Plz correct me if Im wrong

Edit.. Ha ooPo ya got in there b4 me.. LOL.. like the comment..

And I'd propose to give food to any people starving on the earth. How comes nobody already thought about it to solve global malnutrition ?

Why isn't this thread already closed... ? Oh, here it comes.... *SLAM*

Ah and, no need to PM me about "hey, what a bitch, you locked the thread!" or you'll get a ban. That thread is pointless. You're just throwing out random idea (which wouldn't really work on PSP anyway: the PC "virus" trick is only some lame softwares mishandling the MIME magic allowing name mangling to store .exe files into something that looks innofensive) without actually testing anything on the real hardware and providing findings about it (like Phour20 here, who at least said that he did try some small alterations of mp3 files).

People, this is NOT a board to throw out random ideas and speculations ("and what if earth was a dish rather than a sphere?"). It's about research and code ("I tested that, and it gave me this and this while doing this gave out that and that."). If you can't provide any kind of findings resulting of real work from your side, it's not worth creating a new topic here, it'll be closed on sight.
