Hi there,

I would like to ask about gprof support in PSPSDK. As I was searching through forums I found that it is currently unavailable. I came across this topic:

But as I understand it only supports function calls counting and not time accounting, right?

I'm asking about this because I want to write a paper describing PSP code optimizations and profiling. I thought about porting gprof to PSPSDK if it's not available, although I saw post from mbrown (IIRC) saying that it is difficult/impossible to get PC sampling in PSP.

The paper is my proposition for topic at computer architecture course on my studies, as I got PSP i thought that it would be more interesting than doing some boring work with x86 ;-) I have about 2 months for that and only reasonable subject I could think of was optimization and profiling - something that would be useful to others after I do my research and publish my work. But if any of you have better idea than I'm open for suggestions ;-)
