I understand your team is finished with the player, but, with your blessing (and guidance), my team would like to take an opportunity and attempt a Hard Drive port (for third party HDs)...any interest?

My team will continue on as planned, and mark it as an unofficial release.

Perhaps you'd get a better response on their forums:

The differences seems to start with the language.

Never ever seen the source to ps2reality's mediaplayer, and I dont think they intend to release it either, the only thing that was released was their changes to ffmpeg.

I have HDD support, for 6 months ago. I used for it, the modules what put mrbrown in the CVS. Off course, I had to correct some things and to add others because that source, was not complete.

how file system, I use one own that it allows me to use little memory in the IOP.

I can create a partition from 128MB to 64GB (in 1MB step) and the system is compatible APA.

The transference of files in PS2, is rather slow. A cdrom/dvd of 700MB, is transferred to HD in 30-35 minutes and if you use NET, 50 minutes.

That is because the HD in PS2, works how ATA 33. My HD, non Sony, can transfer to 133. For that reason I have programmed a software under WIN2000/XP what allows to me, to format , create partition and to transfer files from the PC in 5 minutes.

well, when we are going to released this? Never :(

Why? He is well simple: all this that I am commenting, is fruit of MY personal work. I have used MANY hours to create this application and also I have spent and I am spending time, in making possible that those people who DO NOT HAVE modchip, they can use the Mediaplayer without restrictions

And in return, I receipt unjust attacks of people that I do not know, and the 'joke' of some, about spanish people what, sometimes, are impregnated of racism.

I am 35 years old. I was born in a misery district of Madrid that it did not have asphalted streets during the years of dictatorship of Franco. I could not complete my studies and work in building. I know that it is the poverty

For that reason I like to share. I know that I have capacity to create applications in PS2 and I share them without looking for fame, the fame does not interest to me: nobody knows to me.

Spain has progressed much in few years, until the point that a bricklayer who DOES NOT KNOW English, can work with computer engineers...
:P

in what we are different? We have supported unjust situations and we have continued working with illusion, but that illusion is being extinguished, Hermes is sad and its retirement is near.

but before, it will contribute with the Mediaplayer SE a Mediaplayer thought for the people who do not have modchip, in order to relaunch Send0r how forms to thank for Oobles , but later I will retire: I very am tired, too much tired already :(

Yeah, because ps2dev is known for keeping source secret and not sharing infomation with people. *sarcasm*

I'm locking this topic so it can take place where it belongs. Perhaps hermes will share more info with Teclis and his team if it takes place in the ps2reality forums.
