Hey there,

Basically heres what I want to create.

A plugin for custom firmware preferable that when the O button is pressed on the XMB connects usb mode AND also reverses it for example:
In usb mode the computer displays the memory cards contents, I want to be able to display my COMPUTERS content just the file names and ect in like a directory view. Before I start this i was wondering if.

1) It can be done.
2) If usbhostfs (plugin) could be modified to do this without the harddrive running an exe
3) If anyone could help me achieve this.

1) I don't think it can be done, as the xmb just wouldn't handle multiple subdirectories. You'd have to make your own browser for the files, blitted onto the XMB.
2) No, you defineitely need the EXE and the specific driver that comes with it.
3) I don't have the programming expertise to help you.

why do you definently need the EXE can some one explain exactly what the exe does and what if it dosnt have many sub directorys like it only has the main drive (ie C:\) and then a folder iso and images?

USBHost has already been added to some custom firmware plugins... And it needs the exe and the special driver to tell it where the files are, and to send the information.
