1. Turn your PS3 off. Not Standby.
2. Hold "BD Button" and "I/O" Button
3. Wait a few seconds
4. Turn your PS3 on (still hold on the buttons)
Now USB and LAN is power off. Also the cardreader. Your fan will switch to level3. Screen is black. LED's are dancing :P
Anyone know what this is good for :P clean the fan? |

With "BD Button" do you mean the eject button?
How do you exit this mode? Simple reboot?
Is BT also switched off? Does it respond to sync requests?
Has someone else the same experience with other models?
Best regards! |

Okay, I tried this on my PAL 2.10 PlayStation 3 60GB - Model: CECHC04.
What I did was:
- Hold the EJECT and POWER button on the PS3.
- Switched the flip on the back of the PS3.
- PS3 Beeped and booted, but no screen.
- HDD & WIFI LED flashes, on and on.
- FAN Level stays the same.
Or I did it wrong or it only works on 40GB PS3's.
And yeah, my PS3 has gone back to Factory Defaults.

StreetskaterFU, since you'd only answer one of my questions, do you have the original source for this discovery? I guess it's a german forum...
Thank you and best regards! |
