Mrbrown stated in the readme for the original independence that a exploit existed in system.cnf to make it load the ps2 elfs like that, I was wondering how I could do that.

Before you contradict me and tell me to use the memcard, I'm asking for a friend that can only load psx cd-rs on his ps2, and as a learning experience
