Dear All,

I`ve done all steps according to instructions provided with RemotejoySDL package, but when i issue %loadvsh, it doesnt quit to XMB, it just reloads, so on PSP screen i see same string again (@PSPLink Bootstrap TyRaNiD.... etc"). Nothing happens after %loadjoy aswell - remotejoy window is black. Neither F3 nor F5 help.

Dare to enlighten me how to solve this prob? ;)

Please!

Thanks in advance,
br

I suspect the RemoteJoySDL package that you are using is not compatible with 3.71 M33.

Get this one, which is fixed for 3.71 M33-2 and also runs on my 3.71 M33-3 perfectly:
http://dl.qj.net/General-Apps/pg/12/fid/14684/catid/151

However the installation and usage is different. The latter one only works as kernel plugin. I don't have installation instructions at hand, but maybe in the next 24h I can update you on those. Otherwise use "search".

It doesnt require you to type in %reloadvsh or something like that.

Okay, let's see:

1. Download 14684_remotejoy_and_screenshot.rar from the above mentioned link.
2. Copy {remotejoy.prx|screenshotbmp.prx|usbhostfs.prx} to ms0:/SEPlugins with ms0: being the PSP root directory
3. create two files vsh.txt and game.txt both with the following content:
Code:
ms0:/seplugins/usbhostfs.prx
ms0:/seplugins/remotejoy.prx

4. move {vsh.txt|game.txt} to ms0:/SEPLugins
5. switch off PSP
6. switch on PSP in recovery mode (right shoulder button)
7. Configuration / Game folder homebrew should be 3.71 kernel
8. go to Plugins in Recovery Main Menu
9. turn {usbhostfs.prx|remotejoy.prx} to Enabled. Actually these show up twice in the menu and refer to VSH (= XMB) and Game (= UMD Mode)
10. plug in USB cable
11. exit recovery and return to XMB
12. Download RemoteJoySDL_2007.05.13 .r2204.rar from
http://dl.qj.net/RemoteJoy-SDL-2007-PSP-Homebrew-Applications/pg/12/fid/13707/catid/140
13. Unpack
14. Click "Start-USBHostFS_PC"
15. a Command Shell is supposed to open and should display "Connected to device"
16. Click "Start-RemoteJoy-FPS" and you should see XMB
17. If XMB doesn't show up, just reboot PSP and display should show up.

some hints:
. Read documentation for Hotkeys (e.g. F3 = FullColour Mode; F4 = reduced Size; F9 = fps counter)
. Start-RemoteJoy-FS refers to "Fullscreen" Mode. You can't switch between both, but have to decide in advance whether you prefer Fullscreen or not
. If performance is not sufficent:
+ go back to recovery menu and change clock speed to 333MHz
+ reduce color depth by toggeling F3 in REmoteJoySDL window
+ reduce resolution F4 in RemoteJoySDL window

regards,
7oby

According to your instruction, when i start Start-USBHostFS_PC.bat, i get a window with two strings only:

USBHostFS (c) TyRaNiD 2k6
Built May 13 2007 03:31:46 - $Revision: 2200 $

but there is no "Connected to device"

BR.

UPD: I get "connected to device" only in case if all plugins are disabled & i run PSPLink.

The usbhostfs.prx and remotejoy.prx need to be enabled in recovery mode.

That`s exactly how i did.

When those plugins are enabled - no "Connected to device"

WHen those plugins are disabled & i run program - i get "Connected to device"

P.S. I see those plugins twice in recovery menu, i enabled em all (4 plugins total).

I also do not have a clue.

Maybe update to the latest 3.71 M33-3 (this works here).

Otherwise check plugins twice. Maybe some old version made its way to SEPlugins:
Code:
remotejoy.prx 10702 bytes 27.09.2007
usbhostfs.prs 18298 bytes 27.09.2007
screenshotbmp.prx 4586 bytes 27.09.2007

Last but not least reset (= switch off/on) your PSP while not entering Recovery menu.

sorry if this still does not help.

I have the exact same problem too. No connected to Device msg. What is the problem? I've followed the exact same steps.
