Cool guide, I've never tried out PS2 development and I didn't know this was all you needed to hook things up. Can you start homebrew software for your PS2 once this is set up, or do you need to do more? Oh and I assume the PS2 has to be modded...

edit: Oops, I now see that you have to burn a CD and throw it into your PS2, so that must mean that yes the PS2 does have to modded. Oh well. :O

No offense, but that document is misleading/inaccurate. It barely scratches the surface of describing whats available, and doesn't even describe all the issues that can be encountered when setting things up as you say.

I don't deny that we could use a starter guide, but if people search around these forums and this website they can find a lot more information that is a lot more accurate.

Drankonite i always described with file names and some pictures how this is misleading? or inaccurate , obviously i am not writing some troubleshooters guide here.... "HERE IS NO SINGLE GUIDE LIKE THIS" which explains each and every step , clearly, thats why i made it for alot of people like me!

Stop criticising , do something constructive and show the world!!!
You guys havent made a single document on basics then please donot criticise others work. if you still feel this is misleading , then prove (not in trouble shooting!).

As an example.. you talk as though you have to connect directly with a crossover cable, and also as if you need those specific versions of ps2link, etc, which is not the case... the newer versions of ps2link have quite a bit of improvement.
I'm not trying to be rude, I just think it needs to be said so people know...

To say there is no guide like this is not true, there have been others like this written in the past, and people here have spent a lot of time helping people learn the basics. The reason there isn't some big guide on the front page right now is that things have changed quite a bit and a guide would need to address all the major issues that can come up -- which is a bit of work to say the least...

okay, but when were you when i asked such dumb questions? there are many people who need to know these things. I have shared those things with the people which i learned here and you can test this tutorial that it actually works or not. I am using the method with some specific versions of ps2link and client for some days and its working fine.
When i asked the question of connecting ps2 to pc in the forums , no body told me that you should use cross over cable!!!, with this guide people will know something extra that you guys either dont want to share or not bother to write to those dumb people......
If you have some better tutorial or you can do some better documentation please share with the world, thats what i am saying. Our level of knowledge here is not same!. Documentation makes knowlegde synchronized among all people......
Most of the tutorials(ON Ps2dev or other webs) are not that simple for new guy to catchup!.... what do u think i am right or wrong???i am also not being rude but i get hurt when you say like that, why dont you make one that involves all methods of connecting.
