someone should develop a program similar to xbox media center. it's the most useful xbox program ever. plus it has a built in file manager. being able to edit all the files on your ms on the fly would be deck.

PSP MEDIA CENTER v.05b
John_K and adresd have just released PSP Media Center v0.5b (unknown authors site at this time). With this release users can now play .MP3’s, .MOD’s, and .OGG (Jitters) file formats. The .zip comes with premade eboots for the KXploit. All you have to do is put your music in /PSP/MUSIC. Notes:

– Only 44khz .MP3’s are currently supported, although others may partially work.
– Partial .OGG support (plays jittery)
– Protracker .mod support (no other .mod support yet.)

In the works:

– XviD video playback
– .OGG playback refinement
– .AHX tracker format

Many thanks to self0 for the info, and John_K and adresd for their dedication to the scene.

You can get it in our PSP Download section here.

Apparently it is 'proof' that the media player idea is good. Unfortunately...

1) I never said the idea was bad, just the wishful thinking without any attempt to even work towards the goal.

2) These forums are a much better place for information on that media center software, as it was developed by folk from here.

Tsk. :)
